When a door closes, a window of hope opens….
As promised on my Facebook post last Thursday night, here’s more information about the play I was at. I was really honoured to be invited by Vincent Tee, director of this awesome local stage play. That night was the gala premiere and without knowing much about what this play was about, I went in the thought of giving Kewei and him my support. Kewei is one of the lead actress acting as “Ashley” and Peter Yu, who is also the lead as “Tony”.
This stage play is about Tony Low (Wei Cong), a Malaysian-born business man who has been a successful businessman dealing with property development, manufacturing and hotel management for the past 20 years in Australia. He is married to Ashley and has a son. Not long before his son was born, he was diagnosed with a malignant tumour in his nose. The cancer then spread and progressed to the advanced stage. Tony had to undergo a major brain surgery, but he slipped into a coma after the operation and was pronounced brain-dead by 4 renowned doctors, with no hope of recovery. Against all odds, Ashley clung on to a promise in the Bible and believed that Tony would received a miracle….
Yes, the lady in blue is Ashley, the guy beside her is her husband, Tony. Look at how healthy Tony is looking! I was so touched by God when I saw the both of them. How great our Daddy Lord is. He healed Tony and brought him closer to Him by appearing and speaking to Tony when he was in a coma. Ashley didn’t want to give up, she kept praying and held on to her beliefs that God will lay his healing hands on Tony and He did…. Tony came back to “life”.
This story also spoke about how the couple tried seeking spiritual healing in 3 countries and of which non could help heal Tony. Until of course they came to Christ. Tony has always been a non-believer in God, he finally believed the existence of Jesus when Jesus spoke to him. Jesus not only woke him up from his coma, He also made all his organs work again! He stood up to walk after he finished reading the bible! It’s truly a miracle what God can do. I was so touched by the healing of God that I cried during the play. You can see my puffy eyes from the pictures below…
An awe-inspiring play produced by Vincent and his team! Well done Bro! Thank you for glorifying God’s name and letting others know about our great Daddy from above! Great job by the whole cast especially Kewei and Peter! Such a job well done!!!
